 Whitetail:
Carta Valley Wildlife is home to a large herd of native Texas
whitetail that average in the 115-130 B&C range, with trophy bucks
reaching 150 B&C. The whitetail herd
features introduced genetics that continue to produce larger deer than
commonly found in the area
Axis:
A healthy growing Axis herd currently numbers near the whitetail
population and some truly outstanding Axis bucks are taken each year.
Unlike the whitetail, the Axis deer reproduce year round and there are
hard horned Axis bucks throughout the year. In addition, a mature Axis
buck in velvet makes an exceptional trophy.
Other game found on the ranch includes:
 Sika, Fallow, Red Stag, Black Buck Antelope, Corsican, Texas Dahl,
Mouflon, Black Hawaiian, Aoudad, Ibex, Catalina Goat, New Zealand
Goat, a large Turkey population, and a very large population of Wild
Hogs
